So, the state and local action group was founded at the inception of DK4. The DK4 platform was actually ideal to do a new group.
We have ~200 people subscribed to the group and I think we could do better. I think, unlike 2009/10 when DK4 first went up (gawd, has it been that long?) the ravaging effects of what the GOP is doing at the state level is more obvious (and deserves more attention) than perhaps we were willing to give back in the halcyon, post-2008, federal-house-and-senate-majority days.
I've been posting and republishing state and local based stories as much as I can but I can't keep up and I'm not here all the time anymore (I'm working on a state and local politics oriented business I'll introduce at DKos later this spring).
So I need help. I need some other admins! Let's get more state and local politics action going on here on Daily Kos. And if you aren't following Meteor Blades new weekly (Saturdays) state blog news roundup...well, hop to it!
If you're a state or local blogger or blog about progressive issues and would like to be an admin let me know. Send me a request. If you're a kossack that cares about this stuff and has the time to check into the queue every now and again to publish or republish stories, please send me a request.
Please be patient with me. That messaging queue is about the only thing I HATE about DK4. But I will check in multiple times and approve anyone who asks. All I ask is that you be on the lookout for state and local oriented posts and republish them. If you want to write, that's fine with me.
Now:
5:21 AM PT: If you're already a member, let me know in comments you want to be an admin and I'll change the status from contributor to admin.
