The Daily Bucket is a regular feature of the Backyard Science group. It is a place to note the observations you have made of the world around you. Insects, weather, fish, climate, birds and/or flowers. All are worthy additions to the bucket. Please let us know what is going on around you in a comment. Include, as close as is comfortable for you, where you are located.
Seattle. April 6, 2013.
Quiet Saturday morning in Seattle, with intermittent spitty rain and sunshine. We've got Spring on our street. The flowering street trees are in full bloom, daffodils and tulips are everywhere, and leaves of every conceivable shade of pale green are popping out on the deciduous trees.
Still waiting for the swallows to arrive.

Your turn to fill this rather sparse bucket. Let us know what you've been seeing in your neighborhood. Everyone is welcome to join in!
The next Backyard Bird Race tally will go up tomorrow morning at 8am pdt.
