A "Catch-22" situation threatens my ability to get medical care from the VA, I can't show up alone for my procedure, and I live alone with no one to rely upon to serve as my driver/attendant, so I can't get the procedure.
But I need the procedure.
"You can't have the procedure without a driver"
"I don't have a driver"
"You can't have the procedure without a driver"....(infinitely repeating sequence)
Okay, here's my problem and what I need:
The docs want to look at my innerds with various sensory gadgets, and they hafta knock me out to do some of it, so I can't just leave on my own after the procedure.
I'm going to be working in PA and I'm going to have my RV (my work vehicle) with me, and I intend to just veg out in my RV after the ordeal out in the parking lot, but "they" won't accept that solution and insist that I need a driver or attendant who must stay at the hospital while they're working on me.
What I need is for some generous person, (perhaps a vet who already gets their health care from the VA in Elsmere) to just sit and read a book all day til they're done with me, sign me out, and then yer free.
This delightful experience is scheduled for next thursday, 20Jun, at 1000....
I'm working out in the boondocks in southern PA and I'm not sure when I'll be able to check to see if anyone can help, but I assume at the very least my employer will let me check for responses on Monday in their office....
