DKos Asheville New Day Meet up!

The weather was a little cloudy, the temperature was in the high 60's, there was barely a light breeze coming off the beautiful French Broad River and a small but hungry group of Kossacks gathered to talk about politics, families and the future of progressive ideals. Come join us below the fold for some colorful food and colorful Kossacks.

I had the pleasure of meeting two new people this time around and came away feeing excited about the future both locally and beyond. It looks like our voter registration project will finally get its feet wet this coming Tuesday and the next with four of us signed on so far. None of us have ever tried to do this so any advice from more experienced Kossacks is very welcome.

We are also in the early stages of planning our next meet up for the end of January. We are looking for a change in venue this time. I'm thinking someplace inside with a great stone fireplace, gorgeous mountain views and a relaxed atmosphere. Please stay tuned.
