Fifteen tenured professors were fired today at East Stroudsburg University -- about 70 miles west of NYC. Across Pennsylvania, dozens of other tenured professors were just fired due to controversial, GOP-engineered budget cuts. Here's a round-up of stories.
Tomorrow (Oct. 29) at 2 p.m. in front of campus, a massive rally will be held at East Stroudsburg University in East Stroudsburg PA to protest the firings.

Thanks for helping to raise consciousness of this issue. The breaking of the promise of tenure to public university humanities professors is a cruel and historically ineffective policy with firm roots in the corporatization of higher education.
