UPDATE: Well, so much for the weather tomorrow--bad throughout SE MI. So the planning meeting in Detroit is CANCELLED. But, Sun 2/2 should be fine and sunny, so it's a GO. PLEASE KOSMAIL ME if you have interest in taking part.
If you are interested in helping to contribute a strong metro Detroit flavor to the Netroots Nation convention being held here in Detroit this July 17-20, please join us this coming weekend at one of two working meetings. The agenda is to put together at least one panel proposal to submit to the selection committee by the 2/19 deadline, and we welcome all the local participation we can get. [Please check out the panel submission guidelines HERE.]
So if you have some ideas about Detroit-related or Michigan-related issues that really deserve airing before a national audience of progressive activists, here’s your chance! Here are the details:

Two Important Caveats
One: These meetings WILL BE CANCELLED if we do not get solid RSVPs by 24 hours in advance of each one. No point holding them if there are only two people coming, I have to say.
Two: If the weather turns unexpectedly bad, these meetings WILL BE CANCELLED, again with 24 hours notice of the cancellation provided.
