Just when you thought she'd disappeared from the political scene to spend more time gazing at Vladimir Putin from her backyard,
Sarah Palin speaks out in defense of Karl Rove's smear on Hillary Clinton:
Sarah Palin mocked Democrats on Monday for crying foul over the suggestion that Hillary Clinton may have suffered a "traumatic brain injury" while there was no outcry over the conspiracy theories she faced about her biological relationship to her son.
"Hey! Hillary’s brain is off-limits! Leave her health records alone!" Palin wrote in a Facebook post. "Democrats are right – scouring records of a female candidate is just politics of personal destruction, and for the media to engage in it would be unfair, unethical, and absolutely UNPRECEDENTED. You can’t probe a woman like that because, well, it’s a war on women!"
Palin linked to articles from Politico and Salon about rumors that circulated when she was running for vice president suggesting she wasn't the real mother of her youngest son Trig, who has down syndrome.
Aside from the fact that senior Democrats never suggested that Palin wasn't Trig's mother, let alone anyone of the stature of Karl Rove or a Sarah Palin, by defending Rove's smear and then comparing it to Trig trutherism, the only logical conclusion you can draw is that Palin thinks Trig truthers were being reasonable and that Hillary should just go ahead and answer Dr. Rove's reasonable medical questions. It's what Palin would have done, right?
Well:
Gov. Sarah Palin of Alaska, 44, Mr. McCain’s running mate, has released no medical information.
Thankfully, that's just an asterisk at this point. But it's still amazing to consider the fact that one of this country's two major parties nominated such an abysmally incompetent buffoon to be a heartbeat away from the presidency.
