I will have a bigger CO-Sen diary out later but wanted to get this news out first. One of the biggest LGBT groups is hitting the campaign trail for Senate Democrats:

On the eve of a crucial election that will determine the shape of the next Congress, Human Rights Campaign (HRC) president Chad Griffin will travel to four states with critical races to mobilize thousands of LGBT voters and their allies to get out and vote for equality.
As part of HRC’s unprecedented ongoing national effort, Griffin will anchor events for candidates whose wins are important to maintaining a majority of pro-equality leaders in the U.S. Senate, including in Oregon, Colorado, Georgia and New Hampshire.
“We are at a critical juncture in our fight for full equality,” Griffin said. “The outcome of this election will impact whether or not we move forward or backward with fair-minded policies and legislation, and that’s why mobilizing LGBT voters and allies to get out and vote for equality-minded candidates is a key priority.”
According to a poll conducted for HRC by Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research, LGBT and allied voters were critical to 2012 electoral successes. HRC is working to ensure they make the difference in key races this time around as well.
As part of HRC’s ongoing efforts, on the cross-country tour Griffin will travel in person to multiple local events to urge HRC members to vote for HRC-endorsed candidates in tight races. Winning these races is crucial to maintaining a majority of pro-equality leaders in the U.S. Senate. - San Diego Gay & Lesbian News, 10/28/14
Senator Mark Udall (D. CO) will be one of the Senators HRC will be coming to the rescue:

The move comes after polling showed that gay voters were part of the coalition that reelected President Barack Obama in the 2012 campaign and also boosted Senate candidates in a number of states.
With a sour electoral climate for Democrats, the party and its allies are making moves to shore up turnout in close races.
The group will also launch online ads in Colorado for Sen. Mark Udall and for Sen. Jeff Merkley in Oregon. There will also be a national online ad.
In Colorado, for instance, HRC has 40,000 members. In each state, Griffin will make appeals to the group’s backers, including events with other elected officials and visiting phone banks. - Politico, 10/28/14
And Udall has been an excellent champion for LGBT issues:

As U.S. Senator Mark Udall’s Chief of Staff, I have the opportunity to work hand-in-hand with the Senator on important issues that affect Coloradans. In the weeks leading up to the election, I've been able to take time off to work at our campaign headquarters in Denver.
When I arrived in Denver, I was excited to see an HRC presence in the Democratic Party office and met HRC Regional Field Director Hope Errico Wisneski. Her participation and leadership with our efforts allows us to expand our GOTV reach for the upcoming election. Hope has supported our efforts behind the scenes as well, writing memos and building events for our hardest-to-reach Coloradans.
Seeing HRC’s presence in the campaign office made me feel at home, as I am a Federal Club member in Washington, D.C. HRC is important to me because the people who make up the organization represent my community at the federal level in Washington DC -- and in hometowns across the United States. Senator Udall and our team have worked side-by-side with HRC on marriage equality, hate crimes, and employment nondiscrimination. Senator Udall took a leading role in the repeal of the discriminatory Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy and has stood on the right side of history with all of these issues. We know he will be a proud champion of the LGBT community moving forward. - Human Rights Campaign, 10/28/14
Again, bigger Colorado diary coming out soon but Udall can beat anti-LGBT extremist, Cory Gardner (R. CO) with a great ground game. Click here to donate and get involved with Udall's campaign:
