Movember is prostate cancer awareness month.
I'm a prostate cancer survivor. I had PSA tests that finally hit 10. My urologist (and my wife) told me what I had to do: get a biopsy!
So I did. Kachunk, kachunk, kachunk. Is there anything left? Laughter all round.
Back to the doctor. Gleason score:6. "You've got cancer."
So to 35 days of radiation therapy, counting each and every zap.
That was 6 years ago.
Cured. Last PSA: 0.6.
Guys: Prostate cancer is a leading cause of death among men of a certain age. The finger up the bum exam isn't that bad. Neither is the biopsy. And you get gold threads implanted in you, what's not to like?
You won't even notice the zaps.
And in the end: you're alive! Your wife and children will thank you forever and a day.
So if you're 60 or above, Get It Done!
I'm telling ya!
