The Montana Auto Museum is housed in the Old Montana Prison in Deer Lodge, Montana. The museum displays more than 150 automobiles. The 1970s are known as the era of the muscle cars: cars with big engines. Shown below are some of the automobiles from the 1970s.
Ford:

Shown above is a 1970 Ford Mustang Mach II. It sold for $3,217.
Chevrolet:

Shown above is a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454. According to the display:
“The 454 was a monster of a street engine and 1970 was the last year of the truly high horsepower engines.”
Shown above is a 1973 Chevrolet Corvette T-Top Coupe. It sold for $5,561.

Shown above is a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette C3, Limited Edition Pace Car. It sold for $13,653.
Oldsmobile:


Shown above is a 1970 Oldsmobile 4-4-2. It sold for $3,567.
Dodge:

Shown above is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T. The Challenger was Dodge’s answer to the Mustang and Camaro. The R/T is the high performance version of the Challenger. It sold for $3,535.

Shown above is a 1972 Dodge Rallye Charger. It sold for $3,271.
Plymouth:

Shown above is a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda. It sold for $3,164.

Shown above is a 1970 AAR Cuda which was introduced with special high performance features for the Trans Am Racing Circuit. Production was set at 2,800 units, but the actual number produced is not known.
Pontiac:

Shown above is a 1974 Pontiac Trans Am Firebird. It sold for $4,446.
