Team PM report:
Team PM had a very good night last Thursday, thanks to a timely assist from Taymatt. We were missing our new wonderful healer Crakzert, and the guildie who had promised to sub in for him at heals did not show up. We tried 3 healing Brackenspore normal, but just couldn't keep the mushrooms alive long enough. So we abandoned the effort momentarily, and headed over to get Tectus and the Twins down, which we did with no problem - that was encouraging in itself, as it shows we are probably close to tackling at least the first few bosses in Highmaul on heroic when we're at full strength again. But at this point we were at an impasse - it was either quit for the night early or try Brackenspore again. Very fortunately, Team Kaels was not running that night, and Taymatt graciously agreed to come help us as 4th healer - and of course, one shot! I am certain that if Crakzert had been there we would also have gotten Brackenspore down, so it feels like the team is headed in the right direction, with 5/7 bosses down on normal.
We cancelled Tues night because Mageartin and Crakzert were out, some folks wanted to watch the State of the Union address, and I was still recovering from breaking up a fight between my 90 lb Rott-lab mix and my 25lb terrier, which was pretty scary and left me pretty sore and bruised (and I might add, much worse for wear than either dog, who are now pemanently separated in my house.) Tonight, Mage and Swyft will be out, but Crakzert is back, so if we can get a couple of good dps to sub in, we might take a swing at Kargath on heroic, just to see if we've made as much progress as it feels like we have.
I highly recommend anyone raiding or thinking of raiding to take a look at the logs recorded at https://www.warcraftlogs.com/... Kaels registered the guild there, and all the groups currently raiding are recording logs of their fights there, so there's a lot of good info. The site is a huge improvement, to my mind, over the previous logging site we used, and has a lot of analytical tools, including a "fight analysis" tab that looks at each pull and identifies where the raid group had issues with various fight mechanics. It's a great learning tool, take a look.
