The Red River is already flooding along the Texas/Oklahoma border and the water is still rising.
Denison Dam at Lake Texoma is currently flowing over it's spillway at a rate of 85,000 cubic feet per second
That ain't the half of it. Below the fold i deal with the Red River Basin but the Arkansas River basin looks like it could be much worse.
These 14 lakes along the Red River Basin are currently putting out at least 175,000 cfs of water into the Red River.

TXKToday
U.S. 259 and Hwy. 8 bridges likely to close due to flooded approaches
The Red River continues to rise at Pecan Point north of DeKalb, Texas and was at 32.8 feet as of noon Tuesday. According to forecasts it will reach 34.1 feet by Thursday morning.
According to TxDOT crews at US 259 and SH 8 crossings are watching the flood waters around the clock until the waters start receding.
If the trend continues Interstate 30 could be shut down in the next weeks.
TXK Today:
34 feet – West lane of interstate 30 is flooded and closed west of the bridge near a small bayou.
34.5 feet – West lane of i-30 flooded and closed by a foot of water. East lane of i-30 will likely be required to close as well. Moderate to severe backwater flooding of the little river channel up to millwood dam will take place. Ranchers should have completed evacuation of cattle upstream from the confluence of the little and red rivers to millwood dam.
35 feet – Interstate 30 at fulton is flooded and closed with major flooding of thousand of acres to take place.
All these prediction are based on the rainfall which has already occurred but the 10 day forecast doesn't show many days without additional rain and that rain has nowhere to go except for the Gulf of Mexico and our lakes and rivers will be rushing to get it there. See Fishoutofwaters' diary for some insight into why the flooding is occurring and may continue to get worse.
I didn't mention Louisiana but all that water is headed their way along with over a million cfs of water going towards the Arkansas River and headed for the Mississippi.
