Climate change is real.
The climate has changed,
and it will change some more.
The climate is now like Darth Vader:

I am altering the deal.
Pray I don't alter it any further.
But the bigger mistake
of big oil
is below the divider doodle.
The biggest mistake of big oil
was making America's farmers
dependent of Diesel fuel
for producing and transporting
nearly all the food produced in America.
Back in the 1930's,
when so much oil was discovered in West Texas,
and tractors were starting to replace horses and mules
on American farms,
not enough people,
or no one at all,
asked the questions:
How long can America produce food from diesel fuel?
Reframing the question:
How long will all this oil last?
Back in the 1930's
they could have answered,
about 100 years.
They,
meaning the FDR administration,
his Secretary of Agriculture,
and the farmers,
and the oil companies,
could have said,
"100 years."
If they had said that,
they could have started setting up wind turbines,
and later,
solar panels,
and they could have worked to develop better and better batteries,
and better and better electric tractors.
They could have set up America's rail network
to power the locomotives
on electricity from the grid,
feeding the electricity from overhead wires.
Then,
with 100 years of research and development,
by the time the oil begins to run out,
around 2035,
America would be ready.
But now,
it's too late.
American farmers have no electric tractors.
America's rail locomotives run on the same diesel fuel
that fuels the tractors.
And we use so many trucks,
rather than relying on rail
for nearly all big loads,
such as delivering food to the grocery stores
and restaurants,
by way of a rail siding behind each such business.
But now it's too late.
Starting around 2035,
there will be a severe shortage of oil,
worldwide,
causing a severe shortage of diesel fuel
for America's farmers.
And,
because we have capitalism in place,
rather than socialism,
I wonder if maybe,
the oil companies will go out of business,
first a few of them,
then more and more of them,
then all of them.
When the oil companies are all out of business,
the flow of oil to the refineries will stop,
completely.
The flow of diesel fuel will stop
completely.
Even if there is more fuel to be had,
the flow will completely stop,
when there is not enough profit to be made
from delivering the fuel.
Then America's farmers
might simply go out of business,
even before they completely run out of fuel.
If the fuel is too high priced,
or they cannot get large enough amounts,
anything that destroys the thin profit margin of farmers,
will force them out of business.
Even if they have crops in the fields.
American farms were never intended to feed anyone.
Since they are run under capitalism,
they have always been set up to make a profit,
or at least break even.
Whether they feed anyone,
has always been irrelevant.
Not saying farmers are cruel and heartless.
But we are under capitalism,
here in America.
Then,
when the grocery stores and restaurants
can't get enough food,
or it's too high priced,
they will all shut down.
Then,
about 99 percent of Americans will starve and die.
I've been writing about this for a while.
And I intend to keep writing about this,
until I die.
And I plan to live until about 2040.
Thanks for reading.
