Question of the night: Best film based on a book ever made

Ok, you might think, based on the topic/answers for my questions for the last three nights that I really, really liked The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 and you would be right. :)

But besides that book, I list two other books that I think have been turned into great films, both true to the work of art and well done as films.
