Andy McClure is brilliant & deserves credit.

Yesterday, over on Facebook, the screenshot above was cross-posted to my feed. I thought it was brilliant and shared it both on FB as well as on Twitter.

Since I tweeted it at 8:00pm last night, my tweet has started to go viral, having been viewed by over 55,000 people and retweeted nearly 900 times; even as I type this the numbers of each are shooting up rapidly. People seem to think I’m the guy who wrote it, even though I never claimed any such thing and the actual author’s name, Andy McClure is clearly included at the top.

Unfortunately, my initial search for Mr. McClure, brought up so many name results I wasn’t able to find him to link to the original.  Since then, others have found the guy and given me the correct links. He deserves some love from the intertoobz:

OK, so there’s that.

However, there’s a bit more to this story as well.

It seems that Facebook removed his original post due to “not meeting community standards”, whatever the hell that means.

In response, Mr. McClure created an XKCC-like image version which is equally excellent.

Anyway, I just wanted to get the word out about this guy.
