The Wall Street Journal, the rag owned by Rupert Murdoch, ran a hit piece on Bernie Sanders (won't link to it) which was also picked up by the usual suspects here. It super exaggerated the costs to Bernie Sanders proposed policies and placed the cost of his proposals at 18 trillion and surprise! it didn't include the cost savings components included in the proposals. We're setting the record straight.
Image does not include savings from eliminating War on Drugs and the massive incarceration rates attributed to that program.
It also does not include eliminating the 'prison for profit' system which is a bloated scheme to leech federal money based on the number of incarcerated, which include for non-violent crimes and the obscene incarceration of illegal immigrants for profit.
Also does not include savings from 'Wars for Profit' which has been a drag to the federal budget and a bonanza for the MIC.
