Donald Trump calls in an expert to help him vet his vice presidential picks

Guess who's on the short list again? No, not him.

Donald Trump is now hard at work selecting a running mate. To properly vet each of his prospective candidates, he's turned to the same longtime expert in the field who has helped other Republicans navigate the process, Mr. A. B. Culvahouse Jr.

The role for Culvahouse, who visited Trump Tower in Manhattan earlier Wednesday for a meeting with Trump's aides, is a familiar one. He ran the vetting process for Republican presidential nominee John McCain in 2008 that ultimately selected Sarah Palin.
