We are oft told, "Don't feed the trolls!" when crossing the Intertube's bridges.
But the poor things look so hungry and pathetic, sometimes the temptation to toss them a scrap or two is irresistible. And, even though they may be unsightly beasts with no good will, they should have healthy snacks, just like the rest of us.
In the interest of providing a nutritious diet for our friends below, here are a few tidbits you can feel good about tossing the little snarlers.
"Four dead in Benghazi!"
"Thank you for pointing out the president and Sec. Clinton's success in reducing diplomatic deaths from terror attack by 94%. And who says government can't do anything?” www.start.umd.edu/...
"Emails on a private server!"
"Yeah, I know. Thank goodness, right? If she'd gone through the State Dept. server, all those messages would have been caught up in the worst security breach ever. We dodged a bullet on that one, thanks to Sec. Clinton's decision.”
securityintelligence.com/...
"She got $200,000 a speech!"
"Outrageous, isn't it? Somebody was a US senator and Secretary of State doesn't make more for an appearance than Larry the Cable Guy? I guess stupid sells." zfacts.com/...
"She voted for the war!"
“I can't believe it, either. I mean, just because Cheney set up a whole, secret Office of Special Plans to come up with fake evidence supporting a war and manipulated the media to make it seem real and slipped a flat out known lie into the president's State of the Union address, you're right. Anyone should have known better." en.wikipedia.org/...
"Anyone would be better than her!"
"Whoo, boy, tell me. I'd feel a lot safer with a president who's actually served as Town Meeting member or a governor who more than doubled his state's debt or, best of all, a reality TV star who's bankrupted six businesses than with some boring old nerd who thinks knowing about policy has anything to do with governing.”
As you can see, I try to include an after-meal mint of a link with the snacks. Like the mystery gum in an MRE, it does seem to make the meal easier to digest.
One more tip: always thank the trolls for their thoughtful comments. Everyone likes to be appreciated:
“Thanks so much for posting these messages. It's nice to finally find someone who agrees with me. Have a great day!”
