Something to keep in mind: Donald Trump didn't win the election, Republicans did. Yes, as much as they don't want the country to realize it, Donald Trump is a Republican. Time to make the party own him. Trump's actions aren't the actions of some rogue politician anymore, they are the actions of the highest leader of a political party.
So, don't characterize the appointment of Bannon as something Trump did, but as an attempt by the Republican Party to mainstream white nationalism. It isn't Trump's wall anymore, it's a big government Republican project that will create more government bureaucracy and is wasteful and inefficient.
Make the down ballot Republicans own his actions, especially when it comes to the next election. Imagine if we were recovering from the Republican recession, instead of the Bush Recession. Let's make his mistakes are their mistakes.
