I’m beyond disgusted at the constant, 24/7 demonization of Bernie Sanders on the Front Page and Rec List. This demonization effort is based upon the completely false claims that Sanders supporters used violence at the recent Nevada Democratic Convention.
While Hillary’s spin masters have been successful in getting the media to push the Nevada violence myth, here are some facts.
Fact 1:
Not a single person was arrested at the Nevada Democratic Convention.
This is important because if actual violence occurred, the person committing the act of violence would have been arrested. No arrests mean no laws broken means no violence.
Fact 2:
Not a single video from the entire evening shows actual violence occurring.
I am unable to find a single video showing fighting among convention attendees. Not one. Certainly, if violence were actually being used at a large gathering, there would be a video of photo of the event. Google can’t find any. They don’t exist. No videos of people committing violence on others, no videos or photos of bloody people, means no violence.
Fact 3:
Barbara Boxer encouraged people to boo her.
Is Barbara Boxer lying now or was she lying at the Convention?
At 1:15 to 1:33 in the above video, Boxer says “You know something? I grew up in Brooklyn. I am not afraid of booing. I’m for Hillary Clinton ‘cause she’s for all of us. So keep on booing and boo yourselves out of this election. Go ahead.”
Now however, after three days of the Clinton Campaign pushing the “violence” meme, Clinton surrogate Boxer makes the unbelievable claim that when she was encouraging people to boo her from on stage behind a wall of security, she was actually really frightened. Sorry, but people who are actually frightened don’t encourage crowds to boo them. They don’t jeer the crowd on. Instead, they do everything in their power not to offend the crowd. Obviously, no matter what far- fetched claim she is making today, Boxer wasn’t the least bit frightened on stage at the convention. She said it herself on that stage: “I am not afraid of booing.”
So we have no arrests for violence, no recordings or photos of violence occurring, and video of Clinton surrogate Boxer actually egging on people to boo her at the Convention. Sorry, but those claims of violence are just Clinton Campaign BULLSHIT.
Perhaps people need to be reminded what actual violence looks like. Here is a reminder. These are dead Iraqi children, caused by our political leaders’ support for an illegal war.
Actual victims of violence
Since there was no actual violence at the Nevada Convention, all those assorted concern trolls, bullshit artists and Clinton supporters have no basis whatsoever to demand Sanders take action to reprimand his supporters or apoligize. If you are going to compare compare Sanders supporters to those Trump supporters who were caught on video slugging protesters, first get your facts straight. Crashing the gates can be unruly, but don’t claim it is an act of violence.
Second, if you think smearing a candidate’s supporters, and by extension that candidate, is the path forward to unifying the entire Democratic Party behind the presumptive nominee, you should rethink that one.
