In a post ear bud world, many may forget the power of actual, you know, Radio

the invention that made it possible to reach across the country, across the world and touch the minds and hearts of people through Music.

And not only music, but the social commentary that went along with it.

Music was not always a selection of a program like Pandora. The DJ's that played music and talked about music had value as well.

Denver Open Media has been allowing people to produce their own video content for several years, and now is expanding that format to Radio airwaves.

Denver Open Media’s move to independent radio and public programming can be a model for other cities as well.
