There’s a clear choice in Florida’s Senate race, and Planned Parenthood’s endorsement of Rep. Patrick Murphy reminds us just what that is:
“I’m incredibly humbled to receive the endorsement of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund and so proud to have them standing with me in this campaign,” said Rep. Murphy. “This is an organization that provides vital health care to millions of women across this country. While Marco Rubio opposes a woman’s right to choose, voted to defund Planned Parenthood, and has exploited the Zika virus to attack women’s health, I will be a Senator who stands with Planned Parenthood to fight for Florida families. From protecting women’s health care to defending a woman’s right to choose, Florida women and families can trust that I will show up and fight for them in the U.S. Senate.”
Planned Parenthood Action Fund President Cecile Richards said, “Planned Parenthood Action Fund is proud to endorse Patrick Murphy for the U.S. Senate. Patrick Murphy has been a fighter for Florida women, pushing for smart policies to ensure access to affordable birth control and safe, legal abortion. Patrick sees the importance of access to reproductive health providers, like Planned Parenthood, to keep Florida women healthy. Rubio’s multiple attacks aimed at defunding Planned Parenthood, cutting health care access in Florida, forcing women to pay more for birth control and eliminating access to safe, legal abortion, would all have devastating effects on Florida women and families. Patrick Murphy puts the health and safety of Florida women first, which is why we can’t afford to stay home this election and let Marco Rubio continue his never-ending attack on women’s health.”
Not only would electing Patrick Murphy to the Senate mean another vote for all of that, it would mean another vote for a Supreme Court justice to reshape the court. Also, it would make it that much less likely we’d have to suffer through another Marco Rubio presidential primary campaign.
For a woman's right to choose. For the Supreme Court. Can you give $3 to help elect Patrick Murphy?
