‘That’s the definition of treason’: Democratic lawmaker levels serious charge against Trump administration
Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) used the word “treason” when describing Gen. Michael Flynn’s actions. However, his concern is not Flynn but the role the president played in these series of Russian scandals.
“The bigger problem, the scandal of the century, not the scandal of the week, is this ongoing relationship with Russia,” the former Marine told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer Tuesday. “There is no question it’s the unequivocal conclusion of all our intelligence agencies that Russia wanted Donald Trump to be elected president. Either that’s just because they think Trump is Putin’s buddy and he is going to do his bidding or because they have material they can use against the administration. We don’t need to just know what Flynn knew or when his associates in the White House knew, we need to know what Russia knows and what they still hold over the heads of the people in the White House.”

“Let’s not lose perspective on exactly who we’re talking about here,” he continued. “If members of the administration are essentially conspiring with Russia, either through the campaign earlier, now than the — look, Wolf, that’s the definition of treason. This is a very, very serious affair. We all have to understand what’s going on with Michael Flynn, but we can’t let this little scandal or perhaps a big scandal at the moment let us lose sight of the much bigger scandal, which is what is the overall connection between Russia and the Trump administration.”
Nothing comes out of Russia without dictator Vladimir Putin’s blessing. So The Donald must be VERY nervous hearing news like theTime article below.
We can safely assume Vlad is not liking Donald’s subordinates criticizing him about missile deployments (and we can safely assume Trump not involved in that criticism).
We can also safely assume Vlad has evidence on Trump, as alleged by the Steele dossier and other reports, so why would Putin hold on to that evidence if the US continues challenging him? Putin and Trump are similar that they cannot be defied.
With Michael Flynn Gone, Russia Sees a Different Trump
The departure of Mr. Flynn over his contacts with the Russian ambassador to Washington was the latest in a series of mixed signals from Mr. Trump and his advisers on a host of issues important to Russia, particularly the lifting of economic sanctions.
Now, many prominent political figures are wondering whether hopes for change were premature, and whether Moscow will inevitably remain Washington’s main bogeyman. On Tuesday, the Trump administration was confrontational, accusing Moscow of secretly deploying a cruise missile system that violates a 1987 treaty on intermediate-range missiles based on land.

“Either Trump has not found the necessary independence and has been driven into a corner,” wrote Konstantin Kosachev, the head of the international affairs committee in the upper house of Parliament. “Or Russophobia has permeated the new administration from top to bottom.”
The Russians are very nervous that their puppet is not in control of his administration, thus out of their control. So again what does Putin have to lose for releasing what he has on Trump? It embarrasses America and the American conservatives who have been the worst critics of Russia. He could claim it was a leak and that he still love him some Donald.
That said, Putin and his ilk have the most in common with the fascist right wing Republicans; that would be a main reason Putin sits on his evidence on Trump and lets it simmer. He might prefer to see a formal banana republic take shape in the US to validate his structure of Russian government (informally, this is already the case with vast gerrymandering and vote suppression tactics). These are the options Vlad is weighing.
Other reports indicate Kremlin apparatchiks are worried that Trump has to go if he is really going to go through with blowing up the world order: that is bad for business and Putin himself could lose many billions in that scenario….
