I see the NY Times Op-Ed page is following the lead of Jon Chait, Ezra Klein et al. who say we must “reckon” with Clinton in 1998. Today, Ross Douthat says “Ken Starr was right!” and Maureen Dowd is practically beside herself, smirking visibly in her column with “I told you so”, as events supposedly validate her relentless Clinton hatred.
Some say, “Why revisit the past?”
I say, “Go for it. But let’s revisit it all!” As long as it’s open season on Bill from the ‘90s, why not also release the hounds on:
- HW Bush and Iran-Contra: Was the Weinberg pardon obstruction of justice?
- Speaking of HW, when exactly did he start ass-groping? As President? As Vice?
- If we’re revisiting Bill’s sex life, don’t we also need to know more about contemporaneous political sex like Newt’s or Bob Livingtone’s? And was Hastert chasing Capitol pages along with Foley?
- Moving into 2000, don’t we need the truth about the FL felon purge, Katherine Harris’s role and the other parts of the stolen election?
- Can we get W and Cheney under oath about events leading to 9/11
- Can we see all communications between Dick Cheney and Judith Miller about Iraq lies?
- Can we look into how many people were tortured to get false information tying Iraq to Al-Qaeda?
- Can we get all information about John Yoo’s torture memos and other authorization for war crimes?
- Shouldn’t we know more about how upping the terror alerts to orange was politically motivated? (when you think about it, that was exactly what Benghazi was about)
- I, for one would like to know more about Jeff Gannon a/k/a James Guckert, the male prostitute who had free access to the White House under Bush. Wouldn’t you?
- Isn’t it about time we really investigated the 22 million lost White House emails kept on the RNC server? (For some strange reason, we almost never heard the liberal media bring that up to compare with HRC’s emails)
- And wouldn’t it be great to bring back Alberto (Fredo — the other one, not Eric) Gonzalez to explain more about the purge of US Attorneys who refused to bring bogus voter fraud charges?
- Don’t we need more information about the Jan. 20, 2009 “obstruction pledge” meeting and whether it might meet the standards of obstruction of justice?
So I say: Let it all hang out; Let the chips fall where they may; Let the games begin; Let a hundred flowers bloom:
As the great Claudius said:
Let All the Poisons that Lurk in the Mud Hatch Out.
