Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar’s (D. MN) re-election campaign:
Just before Thanksgiving we got word that Ajit Pai, Chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), is planning to undo net neutrality, a set of rules that prevent big broadband companies from deciding what consumers see on the internet.
This may seem like a mundane issue, but it affects every single one of us. Under net neutrality, all internet content must be treated equally by providers. If net neutrality is rolled back, your internet provider will be able to slow down or block certain content.
The five-member FCC will be voting on Thursday on whether to adopt Pai’s plan. Will you join me in speaking out against the end of net neutrality?
Add your name to stand with me for an internet that doesn’t discriminate.
Thanks,
Amy
