Attorney General Jeff Sessions said he was going to recuse himself from the Justice Department's investigation of Russia's involvement in the 2016 election. Then Sessions put himself in the middle of a firestorm by writing a letter recommending that FBI Director James Comey be fired, right in the middle of his Russia investigation. On top of that, Sessions is interviewing candidates for the interim director, likely looking for one who will put an end to this inconvenient investigation.
That's more than Sen. Ron Wyden (D-OR) can stomach.
Session’s long history of corruption, of abuse of power, of baldly putting partisanship over patriotism should have kept him out of this job. Because his Republican colleagues are just as partisan as he is, that didn’t happen. Democrats need to follow Wyden’s lead and point that out at the top of their lungs.
Sign if you agree: Jeff Sessions must resign, and a special prosecutor must investigate Trump's ties to Russia
