In an interview on CNN, Democratic Sen. Jack Reed of Rhode Island told Wolf Blitzer he hopes to see Donald Trump, Jr., Jared Kushner, and Paul Manafort testify before the Senate Intelligence Committee regarding the recently revealed meeting between Trump’s inner campaign circle and a Kremlin-linked Russian lawyer in June 2016.
Sen. Reed tells Blitzer that the Senate Intelligence Committee has “been trying to pursue both Mr. Manafort and Mr. Kushner to come and testify. That’s being led by Chairman Burr and ranking member Mark Warner of Virginia.” If they’ve been trying to get Manafort and Kushner to voluntarily testify before the committee and those efforts have been rebuffed, how long does the committee wait before finally issuing subpoenas? It seems like the time is now.
