Omarosa Manigault-Newman, a former controversial contestant on The Apprentice turned controversial White House communications staffer has returned to her reality show roots after being fired and reportedly escorted out of the White House by security. She’s competing in CBS’s Celebrity Big Brother, a show where contestants are locked in a made-for-television compound with no communication with the outside world. Every minute of the contestants’ time in the house is filmed and the show airs five times a week, with a live feed available 24/7. Each week, contestants are voted out by their companions. Odd partnerships and alliances often form, with serious backstabbing along the way, to achieve the ultimate goal of being the last contestant in the house.
In a teaser clip for tonight’s episode, Omarosa and Ross Matthews, who gained fame as an intern turned correspondent on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, are deep in a conversation about Manigault-Newman’s time in the White House and why she ever took the job in the first place. Her answers are rather frightening.
At one point the pair are discussing Trump’s out of control tweets and whether there is anyone to control him. Matthews asked her if we should be worried (about Trump and his handlers) and she nods her head in the affirmative. Matthews goes further, replying to her head nod, “Oh, don’t say that. Because we are worried but I need you to say ‘no, it’s going to be okay.’” A tearful Omarosa shakes her head no and says, “No, it’s not going to be okay. It’s not. It’s bad.”
