Not much of a surprise here, folks—Trump has decided not to release the Democratic rebuttal to the Nunes memo:
In a letter to the House Intelligence Committee, White House counsel Don McGahn says that the president is unable to declassify the Democrats' memo.
"Although the President is inclined to declassify the February 5th Memorandum," McGahn writes, "because the Memorandum contains numerous properly classified and especially sensitive pasasges, he is unable to do so at this time."
Trump was certainly able to overcome his concerns about the Republicans’ memo, but not the Democratic one? I wonder why all of a sudden classified material is considered so sensitive now, even though it wasn’t just last week.
Hmm . . . I have a feeling there’s a word to describe this . . . Hippo Christie? No, that’s not right. . . .
