CNN: Trump fears Mueller is coming after Donald Jr.

We already knew why Trump’s tweets about the Russian hacking probe have taken on a particularly unhinged quality—he knows the walls are closing in on him.

Well, CNN recently got confirmation that this is indeed the case. Apparently Trump is scared that Mueller may come after his son, Donald Trump Jr.--aka “Dumber.”

Trump has been concerned for months now that the Mueller probe could reach his family, and potentially his son-in-law Jared Kushner, but his focus has turned to his namesake in recent weeks, one person who speaks with Trump frequently tells CNN. This is one of several reasons Trump has upped his public attacks on Mueller, because he doesn't want him touching his family, the person adds.

Trump has good reason to be scared. Indicting Donald Jr. will have the same effect of indicting him. And Donald Jr. has good reason to be afraid himself, due to his role in the meeting at Trump Tower with a Russian lawyer. That fact takes on greater importance given Michael Cohen’s claim that Donald Sr. was aware of the meeting in advance.

So now we have confirmation of what we already know—Trump is a cornered animal.
