David Hogg and Twitter troll the NRA’s financial woes—some offer NRA ‘thoughts and prayers’

David Hogg, who is a survivor of the Parkland, Florida shooting massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14th, continues his activism against gun violence and the NRA. This past weekend, Hogg tweeted some progress for the common sense gun law cause—via NRA’s reported financial troubles.

“The NRA admitted in a recent court filing that it’s hurting financially thanks to activism by the teenage survivors of the Parkland school massacre.

I salute Emma but fear that NRAs financial troubles might make it harder for gun lobby to buy into Senator Rubio's agenda like last time when they bought into his agenda for $3m and if he doesn't get re-elected we won't be able to receive his lovely daily tweets from Scripture.

The NRA was also trolled by twitter offering “thoughts and prayers.” Huffington Post collected a good number of tweets including those by celebrities like comedian/talk show host Chelsea Handler.

Thoughts and prayers to the NRA who is saying they’re in a deep financial crisis and may be unable to exist. Maybe they could ask some of the Republicans they donated millions to for a loan:
