Standard advertisement: Wreck List is the Daily Kos World of Warcraft guild. We are Horde-side on the Garrosh server. We're getting close to the membership cap, so we'll have to put you on a waiting list if you want to join. To get on the list, read this diary and visit the Guild web site. Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome.
More below the fold:
Sounds like our Tues/Wed night raid group got Argus the Unmaker down, clearing Throne of Antorus on normal difficulty. Congratulations!
Here’s the raid report from Papagenia:
Team Pm raid report:
We had a good start to the New Year last week with our first heroic kill, followed by a pretty easy farm tour of the bosses in the first 6 that folks needed for tier and missions. That cleared the way this week for some normal progression, so we tackled Kin'garoth, a fight we'd tried once before without a lot of success. This time, after a couple of wipes, we brought him down and thus got some progression going again. We pushed a bit further, to the aptly named Chamber of Anguish where we found Varimathras, whose design seems to be yet more evidence that Blizz designers are fans of Game of Thrones, as this dude looks like the Boltons have paid him a visit (he's been flayed, yucky.) This fight, as those in the group who'd seen him before on LFR or normal, really relies on the tanks getting the dance down correctly, while the rest of us more or less mindlessly pew-pewed. I don't think either Thanael or Cahirn had seen the fight before, so it took them a few wipes to get the steps down properly, but once they did, we got the boss down pretty painlessly. So, yay, we are now 8 of 11 on normal! We'll keep working to gear up, as our experience Tuesday night, when we struggled to get the first boss down on heroic for a second time, showed we will need more firepower to keep progressing on heroic. We did finally get the first heroic done, but then switched back to normal mode to continue farming for gear. We'll hopefully be ready to tackle further normal mode progression next week.
Big congrats to the Tues/Wed group who got Argus down Tuesday night and thus have cleared the raid on normal mode! Woot!
That's all I have for this week. For the Horde!
