Perception is reality. Do a quick search in google for news above. What do we get:
Trump hits the democrats for HIS failure to help build bipartisan support. Doesn’t have to be true, but it’s what the republicans do.
Ryan comes out, reinforcing that meme.
Democrats come out claiming their willing to shut down the Government over DACA.
Result: Democrats look like the one’s responsible for this shutdown, not Trump.
This is a failure of messaging, once again. Our representatives should be out there pointing out the obvious — the REPUBLICANS and TRUMP are pushing us toward a shutdown we don’t want.
All he and his cold-hearted republicans have to do is find a way to help 800,000 young Americans who want nothing more than to be here and be productive. And we’ll give you some funding for the wall! It’s already in the bill you dismissed!
Instead, the republicans are out pushing their agenda. Our side is trying to argue policy instead of emotion. Same old, same old.
And I’m darn sure if we do shut down, the blame will be on us even though it should be on the President. And we’ll be left wondering “Why?”
And it WON’T be because we are in the minority. Our microphones today are just as big as theres. We’re just not using them and saying anything correctly.
Get it together, people. This is the time to push back, together, and have a party announcement.
But we just hear crickets. At least where I look.
If you can’t at least have an article in a Google. search that favors your side of the isle, you’re not doing your job. That’s just simple fact. I’m not the guy making this up.
