So, I’ve had an entertaining month or so moving to Ridgecrest, but now I’m back and ready to resume my work telling you all about what we’re up to.
Starting off with our headliner — a long time guildmate of ours, Santiaga, is running for reelection to the Maine House of Representatives. She is running to advocate for health care, better child protection, and compassion in state government — all things sorely needed especially considering their lunatic governor. She has been a stalwart guildie and a good friend, and I urge you all to do whatever you can to support her campaign.

I have a couple of raid reports I’m behind on from Papagenia. Here’s the last one from 1/18 and today’s update to bring you all up to speed on raid progression:
Team Pm report: (1/18)
Team Pm had a great week in raiding, despite difficulties Tuesday night caused by Patch 7.3.5 which dropped that day. On Monday, we pushed further into Antorus, tackling the Coven of Shivarra, which is pretty much what it sounds like - 3 enormous ladies up to no good of some unspecified nature. Most of us had not seen the fight before, or probably even the video (ok, I'm speaking for myself here), so it took a few tries, but on the 4th attempt, we got them down! Woot!
Tuesday was patch day, with much longer maintenance than usual these days, and as it turned out, they could have used a few more hours before going live. The most irritating issue for us was the difficulty Earth and Luna had getting into game - "character not found" issue for Earth, and Luna couldn't get in on any of her toons until we were half way thru raid time. We had decided, patch or no patch, to keep pushing to complete Antorus on normal, as the patch brought a new quest and content available only once you've killed Argus. So, after killing Garothi normal while we waited to see if Earth and Luna could get in, we proceed to the penultimate boss in this tier, Aggramar. We'd done a pull on him Monday night, and suspected we might be able to take him down, but it took a few tries, even with Earth in and Luna finally able to get in on her shaman Skystormborn. After 3 wipes, Earth was blocked out again so Orqwa switched to his healer Sarahoshi for a 4th try. Practice made perfect for everyone but Papa who died very early on the fight; that did give me a floor's eye view of the dance though, and it was beautiful to watch, as everyone else executed perfectly and got it done. Yay us!
So, we are 10/11 normal now, 1/11 heroic, and as we had a few minutes left, we checked out Argus just to see what we're facing - and we feel pretty good about our chances of getting him down next week. Most of us had not researched the fight, but Palleys had seen it a few times with his Alliance team and was able to give some directions. We only had time for a couple of pulls, but we made some progress (we were fortunate to have Hykari join us for the Argus pulls) and I think next week, assuming Earth and Luna are able to be with us, we have a good shot of getting him down. Heroic mode looks like it will be a project for us, but we'll do some farming, upgrade gear and see what we can do. But first, hopefully we can get Argus down next week!
Update for Team Pm as of 2/15
Since I wrote the report above, Moody hasn't been able to do a diary, so I'm adding our progression update here. For the latter half of January, all we had left to do in terms of progression was the final boss Argus. We alternated farming normal for tier, killing the first boss on heroic and trying some others on heroic, with working on Argus, so that by the end of the month we were very close. We wiped several times on Jan 30th, when we were without a few folks, and got very close, so we knew we could do it, and we got him down on Feb. 5. YAY! Now we get to kill him a gazillion times more to farm for the class/spec trinket for each team member! YAY? Papa was sick on Feb 6 and Feb 12, but the team did great in my absence, getting another boss, the Dogs, down on heroic, and killing Argus again. I was able to raid on Feb 13, and it now appears we have all of Antorus raid normal, including Argus, and at the least the first fight on heroic, on farm, so we should be able to start making heroic progression now as people get the trinket and more gear.
That's all I have for this week. For the Horde!
