Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senator Tammy Baldwin’s (D. WI) re-election campaign:
You've probably heard of net neutrality. It's a concept that says all content on the internet is created equal, and you should be able to access all of it at the same speed.
Big companies shouldn't be able to throttle your connections. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) shouldn't determine what you can and can't see.
During the Obama administration, the FCC put protections in place to help preserve net neutrality. Last December, the Trump FCC repealed those protections.
It's no shock that Trump's priority is big corporations, not small businesses or consumers. But it's up to us to save net neutrality before it disappears for good.
There is a small window in which the Senate can reverse the FCC's decision, and it's closing fast. Join me and urge the Senate to save net neutrality.
Thank you,
Tammy
