Received this e-mail today from Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak’s (D. NV) gubernatorial campaign:
Our schools are the most important building block in the lives of Nevada children.
Both of my daughters attended public high school in Nevada, and both received degrees from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. I even served two terms as a Regent for the Nevada System of Higher Education. We’re a public school family, born and bred.
That’s why it’s so frustrating to see leaders in Washington advocate to divert desperately needed public school funding to private schools. I’m fighting back against this attack on our children’s education -- and I need you with me.
Add your name now to support fully funding our public schools.
I am proud to say that I was recently endorsed by the Clark County Education Association teachers’ union because they know how much this issue means to me. I’ll continue to fight to raise teacher salaries, decrease classroom sizes, and make higher education more affordable -- because every student in Nevada should have the opportunity to succeed.
Join the fight. Put pressure on our leaders to fully fund our public schools and add your name now.
Thank you,
Steve Sisolak
