What an ugly week this was. Stories of sexual assault (and disgusting denials of same) dominated our news cycle, as the fight to keep Brett Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court rages on. The diaries at Daily Kos were no different (well, except the denial part), and so many brave Community members came forward to assert that they, too, were survivors of sexual assault.
As such, it’s no surprise that this week’s picks feature a lot of stories that might be hard to read, but that doesn’t make them any less essential to the discourse at hand.
And to the survivors out there reading this, please remember: We believe you. It’s not your fault.
