…….. Ranches, Farms, Rural, Inner-city poor folks, Homeless persons in streets, cardboard boxes, cars, All these communities are sunk without USPS service that has served us 245 yrs. since Ben Franklin was appointed our first Postmaster General in 1775. U.S.Post Office is explicitly authorized in the U.S. Constitution wherein Article I describes the design of the legislative branch of US Government -- the Congress with which lies duty and responsibility of Section 8: “The Congress shall have power ...[...]… To establish post offices and post roads;”
The postal powers of Congress embrace all measures necessary to insure the safe and speedy transit and prompt delivery of the mails. ─ Ex parte Jackson, 96 U.S. 727, 732 (1878).
Broadly speaking, the Court has approved regulations having a trivial or remote relation to the operation of the postal service, while disallowing those constituting a serious impediment to it. Thus, a state statute, which granted to one company an exclusive right to operate a telegraph business in the state, was found to be incompatible with a federal law, which, in granting to any telegraph company the right to construct its lines upon post roads, was interpreted as a prohibition of state monopolies in a field Congress was entitled to regulate in the exercise of its combined power over commerce and post roads. ─ www.law.cornell.edu/…

Elizabeth Warren tweeted, "I'm calling on Congress to act swiftly to shore up USPS so that everyone can continue to receive essential medicines and supplies, and as many Americans as possible can vote from home."
