Trump approval is headed in one direction

Morning Consult has been doing a monthly “Tracking Trump” poll of an average of 5000 voters a day, with results available for individual states. 

They tout one of the lowest margins of error of any pollster, probably due to the huge number of voters they poll every month:  “The margin of error for each (demographic) group is either plus or minus 1 or 2 points.”

Trump has hit an all time low nationally and in individual 2020 battleground states like MI, WI, and PA too.

His inaction leading up to (and arguably causing) the pandemic in the U.S. is beginning to sink in among American voters.  Many are discovering what we’ve all known: 

The emperor has no clothes.  

Trump’s Monthly Approval Rating Hits Record Low in March

The month of March was unkind to President Donald Trump’s popularity among the voting public, with Morning Consult’s 50 state approval tracker showing the commander in chief reaching the lowest point of his presidency.

The new data — compiled from surveys conducted March 1 to March 31 among 97,693 registered voters in every state and Washington, D.C. — shows 41 percent of registered voters approving and 54 percent disapproving of Trump’s job performance, surpassing previous monthly lows from October and November, when 42 percent approved and 53 percent took the opposing view.
