Hey Kossacks! Here is the contact information for a majority of the USPS Board of Directors at their business addresses. Let’s remind them: Trump will be gone; your reputation will remain. Here’s my email:
Sir:
On Thursday, CNN reported: “President Donald Trump said Thursday that he opposes much-needed funding for the United States Postal Service because he doesn't want to see it used for mail-in voting this November.”
As a proud American, I’m appalled, but not surprised, that our president would publicly declare that he is trying to sabotage the U.S. Postal Service in order to win the election. The USPS was founded 245 years ago. It is a jewel in the crown of American institutions, the third largest civilian employer, and the backbone of America — delivering paychecks, medications, Christmas gifts — and yes, ballots.
If you think, for one second, that the American people will stand by idly while you participate in its destruction, you have sorely under-estimated your fellow citizens. We are watching, sir. Not just what Louis DeJoy is doing, but what you are doing to aid him.
I will remind you, sir — eventually Trump will be gone, but your reputation will remain. Benjamin Franklin, our nation’s first Postmaster General, is a revered figure of creativity, intelligence, and patriotism. How will you be remembered?
