Extreme weather, extreme road conditions, extreme public health crises, and extreme underfunding haven't stopped the U.S. Postal Service, and neither will Donald Trump’s fascism.
This Saturday, Aug. 22, at 11 AM local time, join friends and neighbors at your local post office to show support for the Postal Service and declare that Postmaster General Louis DeJoy must resign. Click here to find an action near you.

Thanks to sustained pressure from activists like you, DeJoy recently announced that he will be "suspending" the unnecessary and reckless policy changes that have resulted in stalled mail deliveries. He did not commit to returning the 671 different pieces of mail processing and collection equipment that have already been removed. Those machines have the capacity to sort 21.4 million pieces of paper mail per hour, and are largely concentrated in cities.
To save the Postal Service, temporarily halting DeJoy's actions won't be enough. We have to reverse his changes, remove him as postmaster general, and push Republicans to fund the Postal Service.
The HEROES Act, passed by House Democrats more than three months ago, provides $25 billion to support USPS and $3.6 billion to fund our elections. Sen. Mitch McConnell's insultingly deficient HEALS Act provides no funding for the Postal Service or to protect our elections. And now Senate Republicans are refusing to negotiate in good faith, further holding up critical aid. We have to turn up the pressure.
The U.S. Postal Service is an essential lifeline for millions of Americans, and has a 91% approval rating. This is a fight we can win.
With more than 31,000 post offices across the country, there is no shortage of locations to show where Trump's assault on the post office hits home. We encourage small events to allow greater social distance, and all participants will be expected to wear a mask and follow all local safety guidelines.
P.S. Sick and tired of Senate Republicans enabling Trump's assaults on our democracy? Make them pay by chipping $1 to each of these Democratic candidates and committees and help flip the Senate.
