Once again the Liberals have been pushed aside. If you’ve been watching the convention then it comes as no surprise that the Centrists in the Democratic party have taken over and they are having none of what the left is serving. From poor speaking slots at the convention to allowing Republicans to speak the Democrat party is pushing the left away. (Allowing Republicans to speak at the Democratic convention….OMG!!!!!)
The party was hijacked by Jim Clyburn in one fell swoop. When he rode in and endorsed Joe Biden it was as if nothing else mattered to the Democrats. They might as well have said that as long as the black vote was solidified the Progressives in the party can go shove it.
Recently it has been the Progressives who have been winning election after election. Yet the party keeps misreading the signals and lurching to the right. True Progressives want very little of what Joe Biden is promising.
It was Joe Biden who voted against Medicare. It was Joe Biden who voted against Medicaid. It was Joe Biden who voted against Social Security. It was Joe Biden who voted for the crime bill that has led to the incarceration of millions of African Americans. And now we are supposed to bow down to his judgement. Give me a break.
Let the vitriol begin. I am no fan of Donald Trump. I am a Liberal through and through. The Democrat party made a mistake when it was deciding that beating Trump was the only thing that mattered. It was a Liberal who pulled us out of the Great Depression. Liberal values are something to be fought for. While I don’t want to see Donald Trump reelected, I do want the Democrat party to get a loud message. There is no reason for a Liberal to vote for Joe Biden. Sorry, the Democrats made a miscalculation.
