Keep the new convention format!

As the title says, I think the DNC needs to continue with the new digital format for the conventions, even after we are through the Coronavirus pandemic.

Why?

I think it works better.

Speakers are more direct and candid, and don’t tailor their speeches to get reactions from a crowd and applause lines.

There is no obscene pageantry to distract from the message. I admit sometimes the pageantry is cool, but I would give it up for a better convention.

There is no colossal waste of money; money that can be used for GOTV efforts.

It is a more efficient use of time; no time wasted waiting for applause to die down, and no interruptions, meaning there is more content and more speakers.

The digital format allows regular citizens from all over the country to speak, not just politicians and celebrities. (The best moments were the montages of the Pledge and the Anthem being sung by all those kids!)

It truly opens up the convention for EVERYONE to participate in, no matter if you are in California, or in Maine, or in the Virgin Islands.

Just my two cents. I think it works better!
