Back Under New Account

Hi, Folks:

I, KYLeveller, have been a member for years writing diaries under SouthernLeveller. However, my email had long been changed and something logged me out earlier today. I tried to reset my password, but it would only send that to my old email—and I long ago forgot that password! So, I’ve created a new account with a very similar handle to my old one. (I long ago learned not to give my own name on a public forum—death threats for progressives and their families are quite real here in KY.) In the next few days, I’ll try to send messages to rejoin the various community groups for which I was a part. I’ll miss access to my old diaries, but not too much.

With the need to elect Biden/Harris and a Democratic House & Senate, while fighting a plague, racial injustice, and the attempted dismantling of our democracy, this is a minor inconvenience.

So, for old friends, SouthernLeveller is now KYLeveller—still a Christian pacifist and member of Democratic Socialists of America, still a semi-retired philosophy teacher and husband to a (female) pastor, still a U.S. Army veteran turned conscientious objector and still a registered Democrat since turning 18 in 1980.
