Republican National Committee "resovlves" to keep their 2016 party platform, and it's a hoot

The RNC, apparently too pressed for time to think things through or even run a quick spell-check on their 2020 party platform, has opted instead to simply re-adopt their 2016 platform.

(Before I go on, let me point out that Kevin Kruse first made these points earlier tonight via Twitter.)

The funny thing is: their 2016 platform includes a few lines that made little sense at the time, but that have actually become eerily true today, four years later.
