Rachel, Joy and Nicolle are my heroes this week

I know lots if not most if not all of y’all aren’t watching the RNC shit show, but I did, for better or worse, up until the point that DJ junior spoke, at which point my stomach said, “Enough is enough, Nancy!” I listen to my stomach.

I watch on MSNBC where Rachel Maddow, Joy Reid, and Nicolle Wallace have the unenviable task of covering this convention all week. That’s a hard job, and I want to say that so far they’re doing a great job of it. I sure wouldn’t want to be in their shoes, and I’m so grateful they’re there. 

There are so many talented, competent women in this world. I’m glad Rachel, Joy, and Nicole have some prominence. I hope this election rises a lot more women to prominence. Balancing the gender inequity that’s a plague of our nation’s history will go a long way towards making this a better place for all of us to live.
