I have a sister who is 18 months my junior. She and I couldn’t be more different, yet we love each other despite our social and political differences (blood is thicker than water), which are wider than the Grand Canyon itself: so wide, that we agree not to discuss politics with each other. Yet every now and than we cannot help ourselves. Actually it’s kind of funny to watch us together because we invariably have to put the brakes on such “discussions.”
She and her husband are wealthy and live in a 3 million-dollar home in the East Bay of San Francisco. I live on a couple of acres in the Oregon woods and make ends meet on some small investments and my Social Security check. She belongs to a golf club. I’m lucky to get a round of golf in once a year (at their club). She hires gardeners to tend to their property. My gardener is a chain saw. She had dozens of “friends” and I have around 6 or so I count as people I regularly interact with. She has a Lexus and I have a pickup truck.
You get the idea.
But two days ago she sent me the following email which she claims echos the feeling of all of their friends in their oh-so-well-manicured life:
Guilfoyle is DJT JRs girlfriend! She was outrageous...completely Trump wacko.
We watched both “conventions” and thought Kamala did great job. Actually Demos did well all the way around. Rep’s? Only one I liked was the black Senator (forget his name). Junior and Guilfoyle were in senior’s image.
I will vote Demo for first time in my life but not because I believe in their platform but because I despise the lying, cheating DJT and don’t want him for another four years. I do look forward to Dems reversing DJT’s tax reforms that favored the wealthy. [my emphasis]
You remember when Nixon instituted the 10% surtax on income over a certain amount to bail us out? If I remember correctly, it was corporate and individual and my memory tells me the populace did not object because it was fair.
We need term limits because no one gives a damn...they just want to keep their jobs and healthy pensions. I don’t feel like We The People have any say.

The email made my day, I also think this story is repeated in places all over America which were considered safe for the GOP. Considering her words above, it’s arguable that she is a latent Democrat!
