So this will be brief. In the wake of the Jacob Blake shooting in Wisconsin, The Milwaukee Bucks have decided some things are more important than basketball.
It appears other teams are set to follow suit, with the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors both talking about boycotting their next game and many others also in discussion.
Just want to say from my end I find what the players are doing moving and inspiring and that makes me proud, but I’m also so upset we keep ending up back here. Maybe Jacob Blake shouldn’t have walked away, but walking away isn’t a capital crime. He didn’t deserve to be shot 7 times for it. He doesn’t deserve to be paralyzed for it. No one does.
Here is a very emotional Doc Rivers discussing the shooting.
UPDATE: The NBA has cancelled all games today (Not much choice when the players refuse to play) The players are meeting to discuss next steps. Thanks to those in the comments who posted this info.
