The NyTimes has just released a stunning report. Apparently former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein secretly blocked Robert Mueller from completing the counter-intelligence investigation of Trump and Russia.
The report from Michael Schmidt of the Times begins by stating, “The Justice Department secretly took steps in 2017 to narrow the investigation into Russian election interference and any links to the Trump campaign, according to former law enforcement officials,” before adding, “But law enforcement officials never fully investigated Mr. Trump’s own relationship with Russia, even though some career F.B.I. counterintelligence investigators thought his ties posed such a national security threat that they took the extraordinary step of opening an inquiry into them.”
[...]
The report points out that acting FBI director Andrew McCabe had given the go-ahead to open the investigation over concerns over foreign interference, but Rosenstein felt he had a conflict of interest and that the probe could not be justified.
“Mr. Rosenstein determined that the investigators were acting too hastily in response to the firing days earlier of James B. Comey as F.B.I. director, and he suspected that the acting bureau director who approved the opening of the inquiry, Andrew G. McCabe, had conflicts of interest,” Schmidt wrote, adding, “Mr. Rosenstein never told Mr. McCabe about his decision, leaving the F.B.I. with the impression that the special counsel would take on the investigation into the president as part of his broader duties. Mr. McCabe said in an interview that had he known Mr. Mueller would not continue the inquiry, he would have had the F.B.I. perform it.
According to McCabe, “We opened this case in May 2017 because we had information that indicated a national security threat might exist, specifically a counterintelligence threat involving the president and Russia. I expected that issue and issues related to it would be fully examined by the special counsel team. If a decision was made not to investigate those issues, I am surprised and disappointed. I was not aware of that.”
This explains a great deal. It explains why Mueller never bothered to verify and refute the Steele dossier. It explains why he claimed that “no one in the Trump campaign” conspired with Russians, even though Paul Manafort, Roger Stone, Don Jr. and Michael Cohen all definitely did that. Roger Stone was a particularly vital link between the Trump campaign, Guccifer 2.0 and Wikileaks which certainly would have proven “collusion” but Mueller wasn’t authorized to look into that, and Stone technically wasn’t “part of the campaign.”
He was only looking for criminal acts. And he found plenty.
Also remember that Rosenstein told Trump “I can land the plane” and that he also endorsed the complete white-wash and re-write of the Mueller report as implemented by Bill Barr.
This news comes just a couple days after the Super-Spreader Event also known as the Republican National Convention where 1,500 people sat maskless and shoulder-to-shoulder in order to be gaslit and lied to by Trump and others.
They claimed to protect Medicare, Social security and pre-existing conditions. however Trump has been cutting Medicare and Social security, his proposed payroll tax holiday would bankrupt Social security in three years and he’s current in court to end the Affordable Care Act which would end protections for pre-existing conditions.
They have no replacement plan.
They claimed to have gained over nine million jobs in three months, but in the previous two months of the pandemic twenty two million jobs were lost. We’re at a net loss of 13 million jobs, and even before that during his “great economy” during his first three years — his job growth rate was less that the rate during Obama’s last three years.
They claimed that Trump has presided over the “greatest economy ever” but that is simply a lie.
GDP Growth: I went to Macrotrends.net to gather all of the data on annual growth rates from 1961 to 2019, before the pandemic. In his best year, 2018, Trump’s growth rate was 3.18 percent, good for 29th best since JFK took office. In 2019, the GDP growth rate was 2.33 percent (41st best) and in 2017, it was 2.22 percent (44th best) out of all 59 years. In 1950, our first quarter GDP growth rate was 16.7 percent, according to Trading Economics.
And that’s before 2020. The Bureau of Economic Analysis revealed that our economy shrank by 5 percent during the first quarter, and a historic low -32 percent in the second quarter, as confirmed by Trading Economics.
Unemployment: President Barack Obama inherited the Great Recession, which began at the end of the George W. Bush administration. The unemployment rate was 9.9 percent in 2009. It declined every year down to 4.7 percent in 2016, according to Forbes. It has further declined under Trump to 3.5 percent in 2019 but then shot up to 14.7 percent in April in the midst of the pandemic. As of this writing, it is still in the double-digits.
Annual Median Household Income: As the Joint Economic Committee concluded: “During the last two years of the Obama administration, annual median household income increased $4,800. This is three times more than the $1,400 increase during the first two years of the Trump administration.” And this was published before the declines of 2020.
Stock Market: I expected that the stock market would have done better for Trump than Obama. I was incorrect. According to the JEC: “Between President Trump’s Inauguration Day and November 2019, the Dow Jones Average increased more than 40 percent, while over the eight years of the Obama administration, the DJIA increased almost 150 percent – a substantially greater pace.” The stock market had declined so much before Obama took office, so his numbers look better primarily for this reason.
Trade Deficit: Given his rhetoric on the trade and all of his claims to success. I was surprised to discover that under Trump the trade deficit became worse than it did under the Obama administration. “Despite his aggressive trade moves, the total monthly trade deficit in goods and services — that is, the value of goods and services exported by the US minus the value of imports — has gotten larger in the last couple years,” confirms Business Insider.
They claimed that Biden would implement a $4 Trillion tax hike, but the fact is that federal spending providing stimulus to the average American is the only way to stave off massive business losses and evictions while the virus rages on.
They claimed that Trump, pre-covid, created the “most inclusive economy ever” growing 7 million jobs, but his average growth from 2017-2019 was only 2.5%. Nowhere near the 4-5% growth he promised, or that occurred under President Clinton who first raised taxes and ultimately balanced the budget. Obama’s second term growth was 2.4%, almost exactly the same. Also unemployment dropped far faster under Obama than it did with Trump.
83% of Trump’s tax cuts went to the top 1% of earners, almost nothing has “trickled down” to the Average American. 60% of the cut went to the top 1/10th of 1%, but most Americans will pay more in taxes. Corporations spent more of the tax cut buying back their own stock, in order to boost their stock price and dividends, than sharing the spoils with workers by raising their wages.
And all of that was before Covid, which Trump has bungled putting millions at risk to the disease, poverty, destitution and eviction.
They claimed that the violence that we're seeing in the nation is the “direct result of refusing to allow law enforcement to do their jobs” when that’s just plain hogwash. The violence is being implemented against the bodies and lives of black people BY law enforcement. Right-wing agent provocateurs from the Proud Boys and the Boogaloo Bois are leading most of the looting and riots in a false flag operations.
The Blackbird report, “COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Disinformation Report – Volume 3.0” describes the Boogaloo movement’s efforts using social media to drive influence campaigns to encourage white nationalist rebellions, manipulation of anti-police sentiment and white supremacy. Blackbird says that the movement is closely allied with believers in Qanon, and far right conspiracies.
According to Blackbird, traffic on one of the Boogaloo movement’s prime social network boards, 4Chan, exploded immediately after the death of a black man, George Floyd, in police custody in Minneapolis.
The Blackbird report describes members of the Boogaloo movement as being middle-aged, well-off heavily-armed white men who are engaged in a number of activities such as spreading anti-mask conspiracies. They show up armed at otherwise peaceful protests typically wearing Hawaiian “Aloha” shirts. Several reports say that these groups use peaceful protests to cover their violent activities including arson and looting in an effort to start what they call a second civil war.
These attacks are separate and distinct from the peaceful protests. When Kyle Rittenhouse killed two people and wounded another with his AR-15, which he was too young to legally be in possession of so he’s a gun criminal too, Trump refused to condemn it. Mark Meadows refused to condemn it. Chad Wolf refused to condemn it. Sen Ron Johnson refused to condemn it. They refuse to recognize and respond to right-wing domestic terrorism. They want right-wing violence. That’s their base.
They claimed that they were the ones who reformed the VA and provided “Veteran’s Choice”, but the fact is the Veteran’s Choice act was signed into law in 2014. Trump signed a modification to that law in 2018.
They claimed that their the ones “looking out for middle America” when it’s Mitch McConnel who refuses to pass the House bill or honesty negotiate on a needed stimulus bill to help people who are out of work and in failing businesses.
This entire event was a sham and a scam.
Trump doesn’t care about middle-America. He doesn’t care about anyone, he wanted to have immigrants “maimed", “gassed” and to “pierce their flesh.” He’s a monster.
Here are the events from this past week and this next month.

[We have 200,000 more people dying this year, did theyjust die of respiratory failure, hyper-tension and obesity all of a sudden?] He also claims that he talked to the “family pastor” of the Blake family, but they don't have one. [It was his mother’s pastor.] He refuses to speak to the family on the phone because they had their attorney Ben Crump on the line. [Crump had been on the line when Obama called the Martin Family, when he called the Brown family and when VP Biden and Sen. Harris had called the Blakes.] He criticizes Biden’s speech saying that he didn’t mention “antifa”: “If you can’t say the name of the problem, you can’t fix the problem.” [Antifa fights Nazis and Fascists, they have no real reason to fight with cops, to riot or to loot. [Rittenhouse shot a guy who had his hands up!] He claims that his supporters firing paintballs at BLM protesters were “non violent.” [Yeah, that’s just felony assault dude.] He recycles a vague Franklin Graham claim about black shirted [antifa?] guys being packed into a plane and flown somewhere, maybe out of DC, maybe to the RNC. He visits a law enforcement forum in Kenosha but not the Blake family because they “don’t want a photo-op.” While there he displays that he doesn’t know whether police should wear body cams, and he again denies that there is systemic racism in the legal system, only a few “bad apples.” [But somehow all he “good apples” never seem to arrest their ass!] He doesn’t even say the name “Jacob Blake”. [If you can’t name the problem, you can’t fight the problem.] Then not stroke victim Trump, rails against stroke claims and demands that CNN fire Joe Lockhart for repeating the claim. [Predictably, that’s bullshit.]
- He argues that there isn’t “systemic bias” in law enforcement, but then he admits that black people are often mistreated due to “stereotypes” — then he says “that’s not racism” and misquotes Jesse Jackson from 1993 saying he felt relieved when he sees white people walking behind him. [Yes, treating people differently due to stereotypes is racism.]
- He claims “Epidemic of police shooting black men is a false narrative” and that unarmed African-Americans are only “rarely shot by a white cop. It’s only 7 or 8 cases last year” [The WaPo records that police shot 1022 people in 2019, black people are more than twice as likely to be the victims of these killings. Young black men are killed at a rate that is nine times greater than their white peers. The Guardian reported in 2016 that 42 unarmed black men were killed by police out of 1093 cases. 79 unarmed black men were killed out of 1146 cases in 2015. The Bureau of Justice Statistics said in 2015 that there’s almost 90% more cases than that which go unreported including people who are killed in our jails. 64% of Arrest Related Deaths were homicides, 18% were suicides. 10% were accidents.]
