I have to tell you , I an not nervous but I am getting concerned. I (we) have seen several elections where Republicans were able to “take control of the narrative” and define the issues. This happened in 1988 . Let me be clear I support BLM. I acknowledge Systemic Racism and most of my friends do as well. But I am writing here in my beautiful college town (Its currently a beautiful day in New Paltz) but I am thinking about Wisconsin, Michigan, Minnesota, and Pennsylvania.

Trump’s appeal to “law and order” may be totally nonsense but so was the Willie Horton Add.

Don Lemons, being from Louisiana understands this as he , like all African Americans , lives with it.
